EXHIBITION - Love is, Australian Wedding Fashion at the Powerhouse Museum

Exhibition

From the simple to the stunning the Powerhouse Museum’s exhibition, Love Is  features over 40 wedding outfits, accessories and images covering nearly 200 years of Australian weddings. Ranging from Australia’s first surviving wedding dress worn by Ann Marsden in 1822 to spectacular contemporary designer fashion, and outfits reflecting our culturally diverse communities, the exhibition explores wedding stories, fashions and traditions within the context of the social, economic and political changes that have impacted on wedding styles, ceremony and changing attitudes and laws relating to marriage.

We felt  so grateful and privileged to have Gwendolynne asked to exhibit within the offering with the addition of our beautiful client Sienna Primrose's personal "Angelica" wedding gown at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Sydney.

We felt Sienna really represented a contemporary Melbourne aesthetic with a true appreciation for historical detail combined with her own distinctive sense of style.

Pictured are highlights from the exhibition and we truly encourage you to take the time to visit it if you are in Sydney.
