CUSTOM CONCEPTS
Welcome to the Gwendolynne Design Studio, where some ideas evolve before they are brought to life.
This page showcases some of our Custom Design Concepts, exploring alternative necklines, sleeves, lace variations, skirt options and couture possibilities. Drawing on over three decades of bespoke bridal experience, these concepts combine traditional hands-on design expertise with digital visualisation to help illustrate the many ways a gown can be personalised.
These images are conceptual only. They won’t be 100% technically accurate especially in embroidery and lace and there will always be variations when a design is translated into real fabric, with the body and the hand of a maker. However after decades of experience in fashion and garment making, I feel these concepts as a highly useful visual guide and they can communicate an idea far more clearly than a sketch alone.
Let us know if you have seen ideas in our collections and keen to do a variation?

One of the most exciting parts of bespoke design is imagining the possibilities. A neckline can transform the feeling of a gown, sleeves can change the silhouette, and details can be adapted to create something that flatters to your and needs feels entirely your own.
As every Gwendolynne gown is individually handcrafted in our Fitzroy atelier, there are almost endless possibilities for adapting a design to suit your personal style, body shape and vision. These visual concepts allow you to explore ideas and understand the potential of a bespoke gown before beginning the creation process, making the design journey more collaborative and inspiring.
Alongside our digital concepts below, you will also discover real examples of bespoke variations we have created for brides over the years. These showcase how a single design can be thoughtfully reimagined through changes in silhouette, neckline, sleeves, fabrics, embellishment and finishing details, while remaining aligned to the original design.
Please note that these are not fixed styles or a ready-to-wear collection. Many concepts do not exist as physical samples to try on, although selected designs or variations may be available to view in our Fitzroy atelier through different fabrics, finishes or detailing.
Instead, these images are creative starting points, designed to inspire conversation and celebrate the possibilities of bespoke couture. They allow us to explore ideas together and demonstrate what can be created when a gown is designed especially for you.
