At Gwendolynne, we believe exceptional bridal design begins with understanding the individual woman wearing it. For 29 years, our Fitzroy Melbourne atelier has created handcrafted fashion and wedding gowns designed to celebrate every shape, proportion and personal style.

Our designer Gwendolynne Burkin has created garments and worked for other companies since she was a tween. Therefore 40 years of understanding how to make directly with for an array of needs.

Everyone deserves to feel extraordinary on their wedding day, and we love seeing women of all shapes and sizes wearing our designs. Our Curve Bridal Collection has been created to showcase how our gowns can be styled for brides with fuller silhouettes, while offering the reassurance that every Gwendolynne design can be made to measure for you.

With decades of experience in bespoke bridal couture, we understand the importance of fit, balance and construction. Our made to measure process allows us to create a gown that is beautifully considered, expertly fitted and crafted to flatter your unique silhouette. From supportive structured bodices and elegant necklines to luxurious lace, flowing skirts and couture detailing, every element is thoughtfully designed to create confidence, comfort and timeless beauty.

Our Melbourne atelier samples are available for brides to try in sizes approximately 16 to 22, giving you the opportunity to experience our fabrics, craftsmanship and styling in person. However, our expertise extends across every size, from petite proportions through to plus size, and we can create gowns to suit a wide range of body shapes, including split sizing where needed.

Whether your style is romantic, Art Deco inspired, vintage, bohemian or modern, Gwendolynne creates luxury Australian made wedding dresses designed for real women and real celebrations.
